Future of the Vulnerable Children
The opinion given here is my own idea without any political angle to it. This is just an attempt to get an explanation of why these things are happening, based on observation and press reports. I do not have any supporting data, reports nor have I done in-depth study of the issues.
Looks like there is some force in Mumbai with a definite hidden agenda…
When one looks around, one finds some forces that make things which are good, running nicely, things we are used to and like using, shops, products, institutions, etc. being methodically shut down or shifted. Conditions in Mumbai are made difficult due to which, factories, industries, businesses are shifting to neighbouring conducive environment like Gujarat, Ahmedabad, Surat, etc.
Two big conglomerates are currently operating in Mumbai and one can see them getting stronger…
One such case I would highlight is regarding an orphanage where I go to spend some quality time with the children. Let us call it Balakashram. Some of the children here are not having any known relatives while others have single parent or grandparent. These children are very well looked after at Balakashram. They are made to exercise regularly, given good food, disciplined, sent to school and made self sufficient by doing all regular chores like washing their own clothes, cooking etc. Balakashram is being run by a trust and with donations from people. During the last two years there is news that court has ordered these children be sent to their respective relatives.
But don’t the court and authorities taking such decisions know the adverse effect it would have on the lives of these children?
At Balakashram, the basic needs of the children such as food, clothing and shelter are looked after. Here, the children get good breakfast in the morning lunch at noon, snacks in the evening and dinner at night. They live in a secure environment. When they are sent away from the Balakashram, they will be left to fend for themselves for living, food, security, etc. The situation would be so very frightening for the children. With lack of discipline, they may go astray and they are also likely to fall into bad company. Being unable to distinguish good from the bad, in all probability, they may engage in criminal activities also. Lack of discipline can hinder the development of responsible and contributing members of society, especially as they lack the skills to manage their impulses and make responsible decisions, take responsibility for their actions, or understand the consequences of their behaviour.
I feel their life would be ruined. Does India deserve such citizen? What would the nation do with such citizen? How would there be any progress?
What could be the reason I wonder…
Could it be that by sending children to their respective relatives, the number of children would reduce drastically. Then the remaining small number of children can be shifted to some other government run orphanages and ashrams like Balakashram can be shutdown. Ultimately give the lucrative place at a very convenient, prime location to one of the two big conglomerates?
One more thought of mine… The current issue regarding Dinanath Mageshkar Hospital of Pune could also be victim of the same force with hidden agenda of handling over the hospital to one of the two big conglomerates?
